TruLevel

Privacy and data

TruLevel is a nonprofit in early development. This page describes, in plain language, what the site does with data today. It is not legal advice. If you need a formal policy for your school or organization, contact us and we can work from this baseline.

Public website

Pages like the home page and this privacy page are mostly static. We use normal web hosting and analytics only if our host enables them; we do not sell personal data.

Diagnostics (students)

When someone takes a diagnostic, answers and results are stored so the product can show reports and history. Tutors may see runs linked by an access key the student enters. Do not enter someone else's personal information without permission appropriate for your situation.

Team accounts (interns, managers, founders)

Internal dashboards use Supabase authentication (email and password). Profiles, tasks, chat, volunteer time, and certificates live in our database under row-level security: you generally see your own work plus what your role allows (for example, founders can review pending items).

Email and forms

Internship applications use an embedded form on the Internships page, hosted by Tally (a third-party form provider). What you submit there is subject to Tally's own policies as well as ours. For questions that are not suited to the form, you can still email apply@trulevel.org. When interns submit volunteer time for review, founders may receive notification email through our email provider (Resend). Certificate status updates may email the requester. You can opt out of non-essential mail only where the product allows; transactional mail related to your account may still send.

Cookies and sessions

Signing in to team tools sets session cookies so you stay logged in until you sign out or the session expires. Diagnostic flows may use cookies or local storage as needed for the product to function.

Minors and schools

If you are under 18, involve a parent or guardian where your local rules require it. Schools and programs should use TruLevel in a way that matches their own policies and consent practices.
